Form I-9 is used for verifying the identity and employment authorization of individuals hired for employment in the United States. On the form, an employee must attest to his or her employment authorization.

A well written handbook doesn’t have to be war and peace (although we would suggest maybe a little more than 75 words! However it should give clear communication between the employer and employee, setting out the expectations.

When writing an Employee Handbook, employers should carefully consider what is important to the organisation.

That way employees will be more likely to refer to them, understand expectations and to follow the rules.
